About Safe Arbors
My name is Larry Loiseau has I have always cared about trees. Even my last name means "the bird" in french! At the age of 5, I remember wanting to confront tree workers at the US Post Office in Perryville, MO as they were cutting down sugar maple trees. I was really mad and told my mom to make those men stop!

In college, I studied Forestry at the University of Tennessee Knoxville graduating in 1980. Once I laid eyes on my first 800 acre clear cut in north Georgia, I wasn't so sure about my career choice. I met Jim Cortese in Knoxville who a few years earlier had started Cortese Tree Specialists. He was helping people preserve thier trees rather than turn them into pulpwood. So that is the road I started down in 1981and over the past 31 years I have worked in the tree care industry in some form or fashion. Today I have Safe Arbors. My goal is to help people help their trees and shrubs. Educating the homeowner is the key to having a healthy landscape. I provide homeowner a "walk and talk" service whereby we walk around the landscape and discuss whatever it we happen to see. This is an excellent opportunity to both of us to learn more. Ornamental pruning, problem diagnosis, treatment of insect and disease issues and plant health enhancements are among the services I offer. |
